Yur Mum

1- What’s your name? 2- Where you're from?
Yur Mum and we’re based in London.

Akos Gado - Hungarian
Anelise Kunz - Austrian-Brazilian
Fabio Couto - Brazilian

3- Tell us how your journey has been from your beginnings until now?
It would be a LONG LONG story, darling, so we will stick to Yur Mum’s prequel.

Anelise and Fabio were in a band named Plastique. They met Akos during one of their gigs. A long time afterwards they finally decided to jam with the ambition to perform a few covers in the local boozer.

Yur Mum’s first gig happened by chance. Plastique had a headline gig and one of the support bands cancelled and Gabriel (Plastique) suggested we took the slot. Ane and Fabio ended up playing on both sets.

We can’t believe how far we’ve come  in the last 2 years. We’ve signed to Flicknife Records and have our debut album due on the 6th April.

4- Tell us about your musical styles, influences.
We love ROCK…in all its form, colour and shape.

5-What has been your last project?
In this case last will be first. By that we mean Mama’s debut album. Pre-orders are open and physical copies in production...the release date is 6th of April. This is a result of nearly two years rehearsing, gigging, whilst working full time. We recorded the tracks at The Nave in Leeds. But every single sleepless night, hangover, back pain was worth it when we hear the result of the album.

6-And the next thing you have planned?
We’re gonna do what we enjoy the most which is hitting the road. We’re gonna support Svetlanas on a couple of UK gigs, then we head to Scotland to play Girls To The Front, we have 8 Mamapalloza dates afterwards, summer festivals and gigs and hopefully another EU tour.

7-Upcoming concerts and events?

Below are the next within March and April but you kids can track Yur Mum via www.yurmum.com, Songkick, Facebook or simply by signing up to our newsletter.

LEVY

I LEVY
tornano con un nuovo capolavoro
intitolato
“BEAUTIFUL MONSTERS”
link video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWxCbmIvaCo
Dopo l’enorme consenso ricevuto per “Jamie”(link video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S56F4kedQqE&t ), i Levy tornano con un nuovo
capolavoro intitolato “Beautiful
monsters”.
June 22 - Biccari (Unida - ITALY)
June 26 - Sheffield (West Street Live - UK)
June 27 - Derby (The sitwell tavern - UK)
June 28 - Addlestone (The Cave At The Holly Tree - UK)
June 29 - Northwich (The Salty Dog - UK)
June 30 - Warrington (The Old Town House - UK)
July 1 - Northampton (King Billy rock bar - UK)

LEVY – BIOGRAFIA
l'esperienza pluriennale sui palchi italiani.
Spagna, Svizzera, Giappone e molti altri paesi).

About ‘Pleasure’ - About Dead Man's Knee

About ‘Pleasure’

A paradigm shift in popular culture put the heady rock and roll excesses of the late twentieth century (sex and drugs) into the hands of contemporary commercial hip hop. ‘Pleasure’ is Dead Man’s Knee’s no-holds barred hard rock debut single that lyrically sets out to explore the shame prevalent in rock and roll over its hedonistic past. There’s a freewheeling sense of experimental progression akin to Funkadelic, and a contemporary hard rock edge like QOTSA at their most Led Zeppelin, but frontman Del’s vocal approach recalls the rootsy body singing of Chuck Berry and Little Richard. It all combines to make a fearsome three minute head banger that’ll have you shaking out on to the streets, bopping to your nearest dive bar to break every new years resolution you thought you were serious about.

About Dead Man’s Knee
Dead Man’s Knee are a group from London who come from a background of blues, rock and roll, gospel and soul. Comprised of Del on guitar and vocals, Angelos on guitar, George on bass and Leonn on drums, the group have already earned their stripes playing as session musicians on the pop and soul circuit while also coming together (sans Angelos) as a rhythmic core for Jodie Abacus. Del and Leonn grew up in London from the same church community while Angelos and George both came from Greece. The group formed in 2015 with Leonn replacing their old drummer in late 2016. As their fearsome debut single ‘Pleasure’ demonstrates, the four-piece have an electrifying chemistry, reanimating the bones of vital and exciting hard rock while lyrically questioning the dogma of the long-faded rock and roll lifestyle. This is modern rock stripped of the pretence. It’s not packaging and selling you a hedonistic dream, it’s offering a nuanced critique on the role of pleasure in our lives. Sometimes it’s healthy to step out the zone and wild out.

About ‘Mountain Song’ from Crooked Teeth

About ‘Mountain Song’

Characteristic of Crooked Teeth’s dancefloor intent and taste for hefty sonics, the colossal metronomic pulse of ‘Mountain Song’ anchors layers of synth that swirl with astral melody runs. It is a song, the band admit, which “really took shape live. We tried to build it into a wall of technicolour noise, a disorienting mirror to modern life, simultaneously energising and mentally overwhelming.”

Communicated via a relentlessly infectious vocal hook, the lyrics reflect the daily dichotomy of positive and negative emotions inherent in contemporary urban existence. “We kind of let ourselves live in that confusion, on the edge of collapse,” says guitarist Sam, “picking out the fragments that make sense, the moments of anger or euphoria.”

About Crooked Teeth
The seeds of Crooked Teeth germinated in Glasgow, where Rob and Jo met when
playing and occasionally collaborating in their respective bands. Upon moving to London, this mutual respect blossomed into a formidable songwriting partnership and, once their friend Sam had been recruited on guitar, Crooked Teeth were in business.

Three years and numerous gigs later, a distinctive Crooked Teeth sound has evolved, utilising analogue electronics, big beats and psych pop in equal measure. Propulsive synth work and distorted guitar lines imbue the music with a powerful, driving euphony, while beatific production elevates it into the finest echelons of heady 3am big beat and club-savvy noise pop.

It’s a vibe that has drawn much praise, with the band’s self-released single, ‘Mirrors’, garnering radio play from Amazing Radio and enthusiastic words across the blogosphere. Lost In The Manor records, too, were hugely impressed and signed a deal with the band to release a debut double-A – ‘Mountain Song’ and ‘The American Dream’ – in 2018, recorded, mixed and produced, DIY style, by the trio themselves. Several key live showcases will further stoke the buzz around Crooked Teeth this summer, among them a prime Saturday slot at the Great Escape Festival.

Adrian Sutherland – lead vocals/guitar – Attawapiskat ON
Stan Louttit – bass/vocals – Moose Factory ON
Zach Tomatuk – guitar/vocals – Moose Factory ON
They came together by chance. They stayed together for a shot. When singer/songwriter Adrian Sutherland from Attawapiskat was offered opening spot for Trooper in Timmins, he reeled in some musicians from remote Northern Ontario to form temporary band Midnight Shine. Their intention was to make the most of this one-off performance. Eight years, five Top 10 radio singles, three albums, and 200+ media stories later… you could say they have. Turning heads with a sound that seamlessly mixes roots, classic and modern rock, Midnight Shine’s music is anchored by eloquent lyrics and heartfelt vocals that share a glimpse of what life is like in the far North. A ‘must-hear’ band you’ll take a real shine to…

SOME HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR:
Midnight Shine’s third album comes out February 23, 2018, with two different producers on the project: John-Angus MacDonald (The Trews) recorded seven songs with the band at Jukasa Studios in Six Nations, and Tim Vesely (Rheostatics) recorded two tracks at The Woodshed in Toronto (studio owned by Blue Rodeo).

Midnight Shine kicked off their first-ever tour at 2017 RBC Ottawa Bluesfest on the mainstage, prior to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. They also played Toronto, Hamilton, Vancouver, Guelph, Timmins, Thunder Bay, and more.
Three tracks reached #1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown – Sister Love, In the Midst and Northern Man. The band’s debut single Since You Been Gone climbed to #2, and follow up single Over You peaked at #9.
Adrian Sutherland – a self-taught hockey player – was offered a spot in the 2017 JUNO Cup in Ottawa, and performed at JUNO Cup Jam. His high-level hockey skills got him invited back for 2018 JUNO Cup, this time in Vancouver.
“There is heart and fire in this band, and terrific vocal performance which at times conjures Neil Young. All who’ve picked up a guitar have given a shot at a bit of Uncle Neil, but singer Adrian Sutherland comes organically closer to the heart of what makes early Young so haunting than anyone else we’ve seen in years... A band to watch…” – Jacqueline Howell, DISARM Magazine
“Sutherland’s lyrics dance between truthfully portraying the hardship of northern life and celebrating that there’s nowhere else he’d rather be… He doesn’t diminish the ongoing crisis in Attawapiskat, but he wants to let some light into the picture.”
– Nick Patch, Toronto Star
“Their sound has an undeniable air of accessibility that, while reflecting its members’ roots, fits comfortably between the hooks of Train and Matchbox Twenty.”
– David Friend, The Canadian Press

Human Bio

Human

Biographie :

Human has been created by Franck LIGABUE  at the end of. Franck author, composer, performer, expresses and unveils his lived sensitive experience in this new musical creation : perceptions, feelings, impressions, images are revealed. This unique, deeply human universe, created and proposed to the world, is the product of a singular journey.

Franck was born on the 6th of October 1974, he starts music at the age of 8 years by 4 years of piano and 2 years of trombone ; His father was director of a music school and musician himself. Franck's family has several artists such as his great cousin Luciano LIGABUE, Italian Pop singer, director, screenwriter, writer. Quickly Franck leaves the classical learning system to become self-taught on drums, guitar, and bass. At age 17, passionate and determined, he expresses to his father his decision to become a musician, his father accepts this choice and asks him what instrument he would like to play, Franck answers drums and the next day his father returns to him to offer his first drumkit. From 1992 to 2002, he played in numerous dance balls that drive him to jam in 1994 with Claude NOUGARO, French jazz singer. This unlikely encounter brought him to be open to the pleasure of sharing whatever the musical style. What has not ceased to be obvious for Franck is the pleasure and the importance for him to play with others.
Franck starts to play in group at 12 years to never leave this type of line-up: bass player in “Precious Stones” (1989-1992: covers of Beatles, Stones...); Singer in “Merry Christmas” (1992-1994: Pop rock covers, ZZ Top, Queen...); Bass player in “Hell in Brain” (1992-1993: Heavy Metal compositions); Drummer and guitarist in “Funeraëll” (1995-1999: Gothic Metal compositions); Drummer and guitarist in “Soror Dolorosa” (2001-2002, 2007-2017: Cold Wave, Death Rock compositions).

Franck built his own personal identity through his career as a confirmed musician. It was with Soror Dolorosa that he managed to truly set free his creative sensitivity. Determined, involved, applied, he participates in Soror Dolorosa in the realization of an EP in 2009 "Severance", 3 LPs between 2011 and 2017 "Blind Scene", "No More Heroes", "Apollo", a live DVD "Rive Gauche" in 2017. Soror Dolorosa opened for Alcest on the “soul wandering tour” in 2012 and participated in numerous European festivals such as WGT, Dark Bombastik, Entremuralhas, Semana Gothica, Castle party...
Today, rich of these experiences, this artist uses means of expression in a line-up that suit him.

Human is the culmination of this singular journey, this project comes to you simply, without emphasis, like the artist who expresses himself there. Human's first self-titled album takes the listener into the world of a man who delivers, in a shameless way, his introspective travel through the meanders of his being. A universe set in a sensitive, sensible, disturbing, touching landscape.
Through Cold-wave, post-punk and Goth-rock compositions, Human's music speaks of human nature through all its facets. Like self awareness (Last exit before the crash), the feeling of lack of control over life (Feeding the ocean), the fear of death (Hypnophobia), the regrets related to the passing of time (The Wheel), the phantasm of the great love (Quai des Etroits), introspection (Cage the monster), access to happiness (This part of me), the loss of a loved one (Window pain) or the need of living (Breakin 'up the shackles).

I invite you to discover and share this singular universe.

Second Hand Arms Dealer Bio

ONLYROCKRADIO.COM

Second Hand Arms Dealer

the Band

Second Hand Arms Dealer are ahugely driven, diverse and talented band from Bristol. Formed in 2017 from an established band, Goodnight Lois, we truly believe we have the recipe for producing and delivering groundbreaking music and we look pretty damn cool in doing it.
Drawing from multiple different influences means the range of music is vast. From Rage Against The Machine to Ben Howard there are no limitations to the sound we produce.
We are comprised of: Sam Schofield on Drums. Jordan Shortman on Guitar and Joe Spurrell on Bass and vocals. Schofield adds flavour to his drums with counter rhythms which play with and taunt the listener. Shortman juxtaposes heavy and thundering chorus riffs with beautifully crafted verse melodies running through his intricate pedal board to create a sonic wonder. While Spurrell connects the two with sporadic and funky bass lines, while drawing the listener close with his soft voice only to unleash the full power of his blues rock inspired, angst driven, edge of your seat vocals.

Deleo Bio

Deleo is the new indie-rock duo of the Montpellier scene. Has a multi-instrumentalist songwriter,
Later, and a young talented singer, currently a student at the Sète Conservatory, Eléonore.
From the meeting of these two passionate Anglo-Saxon musicians was born the evidence of an artistic
fusion. Evidence confirmed listening to their first titles and their passages noticed on stage. These two
are made to get along, and we, to listen to them. Eleanor’s aerial voice vibrates with sensuality on Del’s
delicate guitars. He has kept his adolescent passions for the pillars of the new wave that are The Cure,
U2 or Depeche Mode, the taste of dark melodies spiced with impulses pop rock formidable effective.
Over the years, his compositions have been enriched with eclectic and electric influences: PJ Harvey,
Archive, Mogwai, Placebo, Foals, Starsailor and many others ...
But it is especially in the music of Radiohead that Deleo draws his inventiveness. Thom Yorke’s
pieces are not only their source of inspiration. They are their breathing. A way of life, to play with the
sounds of the purest and most fragile emotions. The most agile too.
It is therefore with generosity that this melancholic duo offers us today panoramic creative sounds of
imaginary landscapes as vast as subtle. All performed in Deleo’s personal laboratory, a demanding
and prolific group.
After their first single Game Lover to listen on the platforms, an EP of five titles chiseled and
resolutely radiophonic will see the day soon.
One of the most promising musical discoveries of the moment.

Riding The Flood From Dandelion Charm

ONLYROCKRADIO.COM
Riding The Flood is a new five-track EP from Newhaven-based duo Dandelion Charm. John
and Clare Fowler combine prog, folk and rock influences into a luxurious blend of intricate
harmonies, soaring melodies, superb musicianship and heartfelt lyrics. Imagine Fleetwood
Mac meets Opeth and CSN meets Yes.
Very much a personal as well as a creative partnership, Dandelion Charm have been
memorably described as ‘like Fleetwood Mac without the drama’. As one reviewer has
noted, however, all the drama is to be found in the songs themselves.
Clare Fowler: “The themes we deal with in our songs are not frivolous ones. They are all
about aspects of real life, things that we’ve seen or been part of. Fear and self-doubt, optimism
and determination, family, relationships and addiction are some of the emotions and situations
we explore on Riding The Flood.”

The EP is released on 11th February 2018 and will be formally launched with a special gig on
that day. Dandelion Charm will be performing songs from the EP with a full band at the
Brunswick, Hove’s premier music and arts venue.
With a background working in a commercial studio, John brings over twenty years of songwriting
and production experience to Dandelion Charm. Clare, meanwhile, is a long-time
visual artist and performer and her love of storytelling manifests itself in her heartfelt lyrics
and emotive delivery. There are three key elements to Dandelion Charm, however: John,
Clare and ‘Olah’. The latter being John’s custom-built jumbo twelve-string guitar which is
central to both the songwriting process and the duo’s live performances.
John Fowler: “We crowd-funded for Olah and I ended up with this amazing beautiful-looking
instrument. With Dandelion Charm it’s the first time I’ve made music where I’m not trying to
please anyone but it’s hugely rewarding seeing others who love what we’re about.”
What people are saying about Dandelion Charm:
"Dandelion Charm have the songs and talent to appeal to not only prog and folk fans, but
anyone who enjoys strong songwriting with blissful vocals and melodies." - Jason Ritchie (Get
Ready To Rock)
“...the fullness of the music, the beautiful harmonies, the sheer musicianship that one moment
floats out of the car hi-fi then suddenly becomes a blast of power” - FATEA
“Dandelion Charm...clearly destined for greatness” - Chris Giles (Folk Is Not A Rude Word)
“Packed with beautiful harmonies and emotional, heartfelt lyrics. Like Fleetwood Mac, they play,
sing and write music with classic, soaring pop melodies that will also appeal to the serious
muso.” - ROSS SIMPSON (Director – First Act Workshops)
“Dandelion Charm are a gentle force to be reckoned with. Clare Fowler’s English Rose
sensibilities are perfectly offset by musical and life partner John’s sophisticated songwriting” -
Sean Ben Parker (Blasting News)
“Bloody brilliant night at The Old Oak…Dandelion Charm - just, WOW!” - Jimbo Tipler (Folk
at The Old Oak)
Track By Track
Here, Dandelion Charm guide us through each of the five tracks on Riding The Flood:
September: September is a double edged sword, the gateway to Autumn signalling the end
of the Summer but also a time of new starts and resolutions after the hedonism of holiday.
It encompasses feelings of fear and dread at the prospect of a return to work, school,
reality but also optimism and renewed vitality for the future. The song September has
opposing connotations for John and Clare and they really like this, they love the way that
songs they have written are interpreted and owned by the listener in relation to their
individual experience.
Riding the Flood: This was written in response to a poem that their daughter wrote at age
16. She was travelling alone to London on a train for a week, and wrote her observations
down about her experience and fellow travellers. There are threads of fear and self doubt
interlaced with an overriding courage and determination. An internal dialogue runs alongside
parental advice and a longing for the comfort of childhood innocence. Percussion creates
atmosphere by hinting at the sound of a train passing over tracks.
The Spark: This is a song that deals with the struggle out of addiction, themes of self
delusion and loathing juxtaposed with themes of hope and release. The mournful vocals
building into a passionate outro that mimics the jumble of contrasting emotions associated
with recovery.
The Great Believer: This song tells a story about coming to terms with disappointment. It
looks back on the cultish abuse of youthful and unquestioning passion. It is set in a bleak
landscape which is a metaphor for the feeling of detachment to reality that comes with the
realisation that you have been used. It is crushingly lonely and yet there is release, and hope
in time.
Wraith: Is an epic journey. It was written about an incident with a patient that John cared
for when he worked in a medium secure Psychiatric Forensic Unit. The song is written from
the perspective of the carer who is a witness to the intense and relentless fall out of child
abuse. Mental anguish, depression and self-harm ravage the protagonist while the only
easement is the repeated promise of safety through incarceration and medication.
